I have been inspired by the television series "ROOTS" to follow up on some family history. My late grandmother used to tell me how her mother, Fraciska van der Merwe, from Uitenhage, lost a child in a british concentration camp. I have no idea of how accuracte this piece of family legend is. Are there records for the concentration camp of Uitenhage giving the list of inmates ?
